Health Care Items ~
Did you know that we have medical or healthcare items available for those in need? If you have items that you no longer need and can be recycled, please contact Natalie Shellum or Helen Jones. An example of items needed include crutches, toilet seat risers, canes, walkers or shower seats.
Coffee Ministry at Crystal Seasons~
Join us for coffee and treats! This is our chance to reminisce, sing, or just spend time together! We meet monthly on the 2nd Thursday @ 9:30 a.m. with our friends & neighbors at Crystal Seasons. We can always use the company and maybe you could help host one month! Contact Pastor Chad with questions.
Prayer Shawl Ministry~
Do you knit, crochet or quilt? Maybe you could contribute to our Prayer Shawl Ministry. We make shawls blessed with prayer. If this isn’t your talent, please consider contributing funds to purchase supplies. Prayer Shawls are given to those members and friends in need of comfort and prayer. Please contact Pastor Chad if you know someone that could benefit from this ministry.
Garage Sale Plus~
One Saturday every September we have our annual Garage Sale Plus. This is your opportunity to contribute to our biggest fundraiser! Bring in your treasures for the garage sale, help serve breakfast, make a treat for the bake sale, donate funds or help serve lunch. We need servers, set-up people, and clean-up help. Contact Natalie Shellum if you have questions!
We pick up litter 2 or 3 times a year on the section of Highway 60 through Lake Crystal. Please contact Natalie Shellum with any questions.
Food For Friends ~ Salvation Army~
Once or twice a year we volunteer to serve noon lunch on a Saturday at the Salvation Army in Mankato. We will post the date when known. No cooking experience needed, we also need servers and clean-up crew.
24 Hour Prayer Vigil~
On Ash Wednesday we have our Annual 24 hour prayer vigil. If you are interested in signing up – at 1/2 hour increments – contact the church or Mary Ann Norman at 726-2701. This annual prayer vigil is a continuous chain of praying from midnight the night before through midnight Wednesday night.
Mighty Methodist Softball~
Mark Streit was the manager/coach of our co-ed team this year. They had a great season and we thank all involved! Please let us know if you are interested in playing next year! The games are held on Friday evenings in June, July and August.
Fishing For Food~
Every Summer during Lake Crystal Days, volunteers from our church walk in the Battle of the Bands Parade and we collect dry food donations and money for the Echo Food Shelf. The Emergency Community Help Organization (ECHO) provides emergency food assistance to people in Blue Earth County and North Mankato. Please let us know if you would like to be part of this great mission!
